Account Types

There are three types of TSUBAME2.0 accounts depending on your affiliation and position. Each type of account has its own format of name and application procedure.

  • Tokyo Tech Students: Account name is your student ID (e.g. 10B00001). Account is shared among Tokyo Tech Portal, TSUBAME2.0 and the education system (from fiscal year 2011). If you go on to the master course or the doctor course, your data is kept though your account name is changed.
  • Tokyo Tech Faculty: Account name is based on your Tokyo Tech E-Mail address and its format is a string where every ". (dot)" is replaced by "- (hyphen)". For example, account name for user "Taro Toukou" is "toukou-t-aa" because his E-Mail address is "toukou.t.aa".
  • non-Tokyo Tech users: Account name is auto-generated by GSIC. Its format is YYAAANNN, where YY is fiscal year when the user applied, AAA is three character alphabets set by GSIC and NNN is three character numbers set by GSIC.
